Featuring discussion from Mai Musié, Awet T Araya, Niccolò Acram Cappelletto, Matthew Cobb, Uoldelul Chelati Dirar, Jacopo Gnisci and Karim Wafa. This discussion will consider the history and culture of Eritrea.

This panel brings together leading and emerging global scholars from multiple disciplines to explore Eritrean history and heritage in the context of ‘histories at risk’. From ancient Red Sea trade routes to the legacy of Italian colonisation, from historical and archaeological to art and architectural perspectives, panellists will examine and discuss the safeguarding and conserving of Eritrea’s historical and cultural heritage.
